Preston born Nigel Smith is Chef Patron at the magnificent hotel and restaurant www.thevilla.co.uk
Having worked with iconic names such as Albert Roux and Anton Edelmann, Nigel is acclaimed for his own eclectic range of cooking styles and has won many awards including Good Food Guides Taste of Britain Award, Life Magazine’s Restaurant of the Year, National Chef of the Year and Hi-Life Dining Best North West Restaurant 2010.
 
Nigel says, ‘Good wine is as important to me as good food. Our customers are King and we source produce for our menus with great care. The Cracking Little Wine Company cares about its customers too, everyone is special to Carolyn and her team and she is a genius when it comes to sourcing something special for your wine list at home. You can trust her – I do, and have these wines on my restaurant menu, our guests love them. I’m delighted to be on board!”
 
Celebrities, media personalities (and some very well-known footballers!) dine at Nigel's restaurant and he also has a thriving outside catering business. His beautiful cookery school hosts individually tailored classes with hands on cooking and chef’s demonstrations.
