Serves 4
Ingredients
100 g butter, plus a little more for greasing
50 g sifted plain flour, plus a little more for dusting
100 g good quality dark chocolate
3 eggs
100 g icing sugar
Method
Preheat oven to 200c/ 180 fan/ gas 6
Grease 4 300ml ramekins (heart shaped if possible) then dust with a little flour
Break chocolate into pieces and place in a heat proof bowl over a pan of simmering water
Making sure the water is not in contact with the bottom of the bowl.
Add the butter and allow both to melt
In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, flour and sugar together until smooth
Pour the butter and chocolate mix into the egg, flour and sugar and mix until even
Spoon the mixture into the buttered ramekins and cook for 10 – 15 minutes, or until the tops are cooked and the centres are gooey and molten.
Turn out and serve straight away with some vanilla ice cream.
